Information
Hofdi guesthouse is a family owned business in Husavik, the business was established in 2011 and the guesthouse was opened in june 2011. The house went through extensive internal rebuilding since is was not designed and built originally as a gueshouse. The rebulding went extremely well and all our guests have agreed that the house is a great place to stay in.
The house was built in 1895 and is now the third oldest residential house in Husavik. It has over the years housed many families and at times during the early nineteen hundreds housed at least three families at ones, one in the loft, one on the main floor and one in the basement. It was bougth by our grandparents in 1943 and has been in our family ever since.
The summer of 2013 we will open the newest and last part of the house, the cellar, or basement, has been restored and now has two rooms and a bathroom that is intended for these rooms, the look and feel after the restoration is better then we imagined and we hope that our guests enjoy it as much as we do
